The Maui Writers Conference -- this year held on Oahu -- will be offering a free round trip to Honolulu to a participant who signs up to receive the conference newsletter.

Held Aug. 29 to Sept. 1, the conference will feature dozens of agents and editors, along with some of the best writers and screenwriters in the country.

Up to a thousand writers are expected to attend the event, which will offer more than 100 workshops, lectures, one-on-one consultations and informal gatherings.

To enter the drawing, participants need to visit the Maui Writers Web site at www.mauiwriters.com and sign up for the Maui Writers Conference Newsletter.

Winners will be announced Aug. 1.
