NHL: Avalanche re-sign Foote, Lyles

DENVER — The Colorado Avalanche re-signed Adam Foote to a two-year contract and John-Michael Liles to a four-year deal today.
Foote appeared in 12 regular-season games and 10 playoff games for the Avalanche last season after he was acquired from Columbus on Feb. 26. Between Columbus and Colorado last season, he had one goal, 15 assists and 107 penalty minutes in 75 games.
He played for 13 seasons with the Avalanche and their predecessors, the Nordiques, before signing with Columbus in August 2005.
In 998 games over 16 NHL seasons, he has 65 goals, 219 assists and 1,407 penalty minutes.
Liles had six goals and 26 assists in 81 games last season. He appeared in 10 playoff games, scoring twice with three assists.
He has played 313 games in four NHL seasons, with 44 goals and 115 assists.
