MPI's Bill Villa is new Chaminade athletic director

Mid-Pacific Institute athletic director Bill Villa has been named Chaminade University's new AD, the school announced today.
Villa replaces Kaia Hedlund, who will step down next month.
Villa has been president of the Board of Interscholastic League of Honolulu Athletic Directors since 2005 He also has coached basketball, baseball and soccer.
"Mr. Villa has a proven track record as a dedicated athletics administrator with a history of developing visionary goals and implementing and achieving them in coordination with executive management for more than 15 years," Chaminade President Sue Wesselkamper said in a statement. "His extensive experience with the Hawaii's athletics community will make him a great asset. We are excited to have him on board."
