Nanakuli man indicted in first-degree sex-assault case

A 56-year-old Nanakuli man was indicted by a grand jury in Circuit Court this morning on five counts of sexual assault in the first degree.

If convicted of multiple offenses, Henry Moisa, who operates a portable toilet rental company, could face life in prison with the possibility of parole under enhanced sentencing guidelines, said Jim Fulton, executive assistant for the city prosecutor's office.

Sexual assault in the first degree carries a maximum 20-year sentence.

Moisa is charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy who worked for him at A's Party Portables. When the indictment was returned, Honolulu deputy prosecutor Mark Yuen said Moisa would give the boy $5 for performing sexual acts.

Moisa posted $250,000 bail after being arrested Friday in Nanakuli.

The assaults allegedly took place at Bellows Field Beach Park, Camp Mokuleia and Moisa's home between May 31, 2007, and May 5, 2008.
