Things to do around Oahu today

Advertiser Staff

A great chance to learn about Hawaii's culture takes place at 7:30 tonight at the UH Manoa's Kennedy Theatre.

Pacific People: An Evening of Telling Lives promises to be filled with hula, chant, song, theatre and writing. Halau Mohala Ilima, Kalena Silva, Ku'uipo Kumukahi, Jon Osorio and Jamaica Osorio, and more will participate. The show is free, but reservations are recommended.

It's also a great day for the beach, with the National Weather Service forecasting sunny skies and temperatures around 87 degrees.

But if you're looking for something a little more active and have a bit of dance fever, head over to the Ward Warehouse from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the ongoing dance lessons.

Also, Mission Houses Museum tours run today at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Cost is $10 for visitors, $8 for kama'aina.
