A multiple-car accident near the H-1/H-2 merge has traffic backed up past Kunia this morning.

Two people were taken to Hawaii Medical Center West in stable condition and three others were treated at the scene and released, said Bryan Cheplic, Emergency Services spokesman.

The accident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. and is blocking multiple lanes.

Expect long delays on the H-1 and H-2 into town.
