PUHI – Kaua'i County officials announced that Puhi Metals Recycling Center will be closed on Saturday and Sunday and will reopen on Monday, June 23.

During the closure, the operator of the facility will be conducting hauling operations involving a large amount of scrap metal that will be shipped to O'ahu for recycling.

Hauling will begin at about 7 p.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. on Saturday and will run until 11:30 p.m. on both nights. On Sunday, hauling will begin at 6 a.m. and is expected to end at 6 p.m.
