New record for June 12 rainfall set on Kauai

A new record was set in Lihu'e, Kaua'i, on Thursday for the amount of rainfall recorded on June 12, the National Weather Service said.
The old record for that date was set in 1965, with 0.26 inches of rain recorded.
The new record for the date now stands at 1.01 inches, the Weather Service said.
