Police arrested a man early this morning on suspicion of sexually assaulting a boy at a Waikiki hotel.

The 12-year-old boy told a hotel worker that the man, 36, had sexually assaulted him, police said. Police were called at 1:40 a.m. and went to the hotel at 2542 Kalakaua Ave., found the suspect and arrested him.

The man was released pending further investigation.
