MLB: Uggla returns to Florida for birth of his child

ATLANTA — Florida second baseman Dan Uggla was away from the team today for the birth of his child.
He returned to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., but was expected to be back with the team tomorrow for the final game of a four-game series with the Atlanta Braves.
Uggla hit two home runs in Tuesday night's 5-4 loss to the Braves, his third two-homer game of the season. Uggla leads the Marlins and ranks second in the National League with 18 homers.
Alfredo Amezaga was the Marlins' fill-in starter at second base today.
