NFL: TO gets new deal with Cowboys

Associated Press

IRVING, Texas — Terrell Owens has agreed to a three-year contract extension worth around $27 million to stick with the Dallas Cowboys.

A person close to the negotiations who asked to remain anonymous because the deal hasn't been announced confirmed the extension tonight.

Owens wasn't worried about going into the final year of a three-year, $25 million contract signed in March 2006 — and he was right.

Owens has lived up to his billing as a dynamic receiver, catching more touchdown passes the last two seasons combined than any other player in the NFL.

The deal was first reported by ESPN.com.
