The two-night Kaua'i Music Festival, from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort, will assemble both Na Hoku Hanohano Award and Grammy-winning artists, who will share a rainbow of musical styles, from ki ho'alu to pop. A contingent of Mainland acts are part of the line-up.
Friday will be "Island Music Night," with Roland Cazimero, John Cruz, Charles Michael Brotman and his Kohala group, Walter Keale, Paula Fuga and The Girlas with Ernie Cruz Jr.
Saturday's "Gala Concert" will assemble new music by David Pack, formerly of Ambrosia; Ben Moody, founding member of Evanescence; Alissa Moreno, songwriter and artist from the TV show "Army Wives"; and others. Island artists will also take the stage.
"One of our key goals is to appeal to songwriters, artists, and audiences of all genres," said Jerry Brocklehurst, president and executive director of the event, in a statement. "Every year, we've been fortunate to attract a wide range of talent from both the Mainland and Hawai'i in a combination that can only be heard at our concerts."
The Kaua'i Music Festival is now in its sixth year.
