The weather will be a bit wet again today, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Hawaii.
Moisture and wind speeds are expected to decrease from Wednesday onward, according to the forecast.
Clouds and showers will favor windward and mauka areas for the most part, but gusty trades will carry showers across leeward sections of the smaller islands at times, forecasters said.
Rain on the Big Island prompted an overnight flood advisory in Waipio Valley.
Rain carried in on the trade winds deluged the area between 8 p.m. Monday night and 2 a.m. this morning.
The Honokaa rain gage reported nearly two inches of rain, while the Alakahi Stream gage had reached 4 feet by midnight.
