Baseball: White Sox put Linebrink on 15-day disabled list

DETROIT — The Chicago White Sox placed pitcher Scott Linebrink on the 15-day disabled list today because of inflammation in his right shoulder.
The move was retroactive to July 23. The team recalled right-handed pitcher Ehren Wassermann from Triple-A Charlotte.
The right-handed Linebrink was 2-2 with a 2.31 ERA and 19 holds in 42 games this season. Wassermann was 1-0 with a 1.67 ERA in 24 games with Charlotte.
