The Pali Highway commute will be a little quicker than expected today.

Today's rains have put the repaving project on hold, the state Department of Transportation announced.

One lane in the Kailua-bound direction near Castle Junction had been scheduled to be closed for repaving.

All work is being pushed back one day.

The Pali work will continue into next week.
