Auditions set for Kumu Kahua's 'Rolling the R's'

Auditions for R. Zamora Linmark's "Rolling the R's," a play about growing up in Kalihi in the 1970s that Kumu Kahua will produce in October, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug 9 and from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 10 at The Academy of Film & Television, 1174 Waimanu St., Suite A.

Roles for four males and three females are available, from teens to those in their early 60s. Actors should be able to speak pidgin and deliver a Filipino accent. Two female roles require speaking Tagalog.

Scripts are available for loan, with a $10 deposit, at Kumu Kahua, 46 Merchant St. Information: 536-4222.
