NBA: Celtics re-sign 2 backups for championship defense

BOSTON — The Boston Celtics have re-signed guards Eddie House and Tony Allen, two role players from their title-winning team.
General manager Danny Ainge confirmed the deals today. Contract terms were not immediately disclosed.
The Celtics have lost sixth man James Posey as a free agent, but the bulk of the team that won the franchise's 17th NBA championship will be back.
House averaged 7.5 points in 19 minutes during the regular season, and Allen averaged 6.6 points. But both saw their roles diminished in the playoffs.
