Honolulu set another record this week in gas prices — $4.38 a gallon — while the statewide average remained at $4.48 for the second week in a row, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.

The average price yesteday for a gallon of unleaded gas in Honolulu is a penny more than last week, 25 cents more than last month and $1.21 higher more that at this time last year, the AAA said.

In Hilo, this week's average was $4.52 a gallon, up 2 cents from last week.

The average in Wailuku was $4.71, 2 cents higher than last week, according to the AAA survey.
