Hawai'i's Dean Wilson is in the hunt again, firing an opening 5-under-par 65 to trail leader Richard S. Johnson by three strokes after the opening round of the U.S. Bank Championship at Milwaukee.
Wilson, a Castle High alum, has company as Punahou alum Parker McLachlin opened with a 68 and is five behind.
Johnson aced the par-3 14th hole on his way to a 63 that gave him a one- stroke lead over the Pappas brothers, Deane and Brenden.
The Pappases could have become the first brothers to share the lead at a PGA tournament, but Johnson birdied from about 10 feet on the 18th hole to move ahead.
