The American hip-hop artist and Grammy-winning "Best Rap Artist" Kanye West is on O'ahu, recording and working on his next album at the Avex Honolulu Studio.

The Honolulu studio has been used by hip-hop artists such as Common, Beyonce and Jay-Z, as well as local artist including the Nocturnal Sound Krew.

On Monday, West posted notice that he'd arrived in Hawai'i on his personal blog � he was also responding to refute rumors that he'd enrolled in anger management therapy.
