More than 200 Roman Catholics from the Islands will be heading to Sydney, Australia to take part in World Youth Day.

Pope Benedict XVI will be there for an outdoor Mass on July 20.

The Diocese of Honolulu alone is sponsoring a travel group of 103 people, including seven Episcopalians. Others are traveling with their churches or family.

The diocese is also hosting youth events July 18-20 at St. Stephen Diocesan Center to coincide with those in Australia, including an outdoor Stations of the Cross, special speakers, rosary recitations, fellowship, Mass, and a live video conference with World Youth Day attendees in Sydney.
