An early-morning fire that was intentionally set caused more than $200,000 in damage to a Liliha Street business, according to Honolulu fire investigators.

Damage from the 6:44 a.m. fire to C S Mart, a soda and candy store at 1658 Liliha St., was estimated at $200,000 to the structure and $20,000 to contents, said fire Capt. Terry Seelig.

The case has been turned over to police arson investigators.

According to police, there were signs of forced entries at two businesses in the building.

Seelig said no one was injured in the fire, which was contained to the C S Mart. A neighboring barbershop was not damaged. They are located in a wooden building that is at least 50 years old, Seelig said.

The fire was extinguished by 7:02 a.m. and required about 20 firefighters, three engines and a ladder truck, Seelig said.
