'Vantage Point' on DVD shelves

  • "Vantage Point"

    One and two discs, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, rated PG-13

    In this political thriller starring Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Sigourney Weaver, Forest Whitaker and William Hurt, eight witnesses present different versions of what transpired during an assassination attempt on the president of the United States.

    Only the two-disc DVD version contains these extra features: a commentary by director Peter Travis, an interview with screenwriter Barry Levy, deleted scenes, interviews with cast and crew members, and more.

  • "Drillbit Taylor"

    Paramount Home Entertainment, PG-13

    Three kids who are tired of being pushed around by the school bully hire their own bodyguard, but the former soldier of fortune they employ (Owen Wilson) isn't exactly what he seems.

    This comedy from producer Judd Apatow, director Steven Brill and writers Seth Rogen and Kristofor Brown comes in a regular theatrical edition, featuring a commentary by Brill, Brown and young cast members Troy Gentile, Nate Hartley and David Dorfman, deleted and extended scenes, a "Line-O-Rama" joke feature, a gag reel and an interview with writers Rogen and Brown, as well as an Extended Survival Edition (at the same price) that adds five additional features on the making of the movie.

  • "My Blueberry Nights"

    Genius Products/The Weinstein Co., PG-13

    For Hong Kong-based director Wong Kar-wai's English-language debut, he cast Grammy-winning singer Norah Jones in her first film role as a woman who takes a cross-country trip to get over the breakup of a relationship. The all-star supporting cast includes Jude Law, Natalie Portman, David Strathairn and Rachel Weisz.

    DVD special features include a Q-and-A session with the director, deleted scenes, a photo gallery and a short documentary, "The Making of 'My Blueberry Nights.' "

  • "Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns"

    One and two discs, Lionsgate, PG-13

    Angela Bassett stars as a Chicago single mother who's desperate after getting laid off from work and finding out that the father she never met has died. A visit to her relatives in Georgia changes her life.

    The single-disc edition includes both full-screen and widescreen versions of the movie; the two-disc Special Edition comes with four short features: "Meet the Manns," "Angela and Rick: Meet the Lovebirds," "The Browns Are Born" and "Jennifer Lewis: Unleashed." Also out on Tuesday: "Tyler Perry's House of Payne: Volume Two" (three discs).
