JROTC cadets to vie in Adventure Challenge

Hundreds of Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps cadets from high schools throughout the state will participate in the third annual Wai'anae Adventure Challenge on April 26 and 27.
The event will emphasize JROTC cadet growth in leadership, teamwork, motivation, physical fitness and camaraderie. Cadets from 19 O'ahu, Maui and Kaua'i high schools will compete in swimming, water crossing, rope bridging, rappelling, navigating kayaks, tug-of-war and obstacle course events.
Soldiers from the 25th Infantry Division and the Hawai'i National Guard will assist.
The challenge will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 26, and from 7 to 11:30 a.m. April 27, at the Herbert K. Pililaau Army Recreation Center, Our Lady of Kea'au and the Albert Silva Ranch.
