Meeting will focus on public housing, harbors

Public housing and harbors will be highlighted during tomorrow's meeting of the Governor's Maui Community Advisory Council. The meeting, open to the public, will be held at 5 p.m. at the Cameron Center, 95 Mahalani St.

Speakers include Ione Godsey, public housing supervisor for the Hawai'i Public Housing Authority's Maui Asset Management Project, who will discuss the island's public housing projects.

Brennon Morioka, acting director of transportation, and Michael Formby, deputy director of transportation for harbors, will make a presentation on the six-year, $842 million Harbors Modernization Plan, which includes $345.1 million for improvements at Kahului Harbor.
