CFB: Bar faces $500 fine for admitting McFadden

Associated Press

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas regulators say a Little Rock nightclub will face a $500 fine for allowing underage Heisman Trophy runner-up Darren McFadden into the bar.

McFadden and at least four others were at the bar when a fight broke out.

Alcoholic Beverage Control Director Michael Langley said Ernie Biggs piano bar escaped a possible suspension of its liquor license because bar owners admitted letting the 20-year-old tailback inside on Jan. 10.

McFadden, who played for Arkansas and turned pro in January, was not arrested but was handcuffed briefly. Police said a bouncer was hit in the face, but a police report didn't say by whom.
