The Aloha Youth Lacrosse Association is registering players for its season that will start in March.

The association is seeking girls and boys, ages 7 to high school, in the Honolulu, Windward, Kapolei/'Ewa and Mililani areas.

KAIMUKI COACH GRANT LEADS BASKETBALL CLINICS

Kaimuki High School boys basketball coach Kelly Grant will conduct the Elite Sports Academy Basketball clinics at Kaimuki and Mililani.

The Kaimuki clinic is in its second Sunday session and will end March 2. The Mililani clinic will be held March 9, 16 and 23.

Grant and his staff will be teaching various fundamental and team basketball skills. Fee is $65 per person.

The Elite Sports Academy also will be conducting clinics in football, paddling, track and volleyball.

BASKETBALL

March 9 — Basketball Coaches Clinics at Mililani District Park Gym, 1 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Coach Kelly Grant and staff will be conducting a basketball coaches clinic. Also, Darryl Oshiro will be doing a presentation on Sport Psychology. Fee: $35 per head coach, $20 for each additional assistant coach.

March 16 and 23 — Basketball Players Clinics at Mililani District Park Gym, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. for ages 7-10, 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. for ages 11-18. Coach Kelly Grant and staff will be teaching various fundamental and team basketball skills. Fee: $50 per participant for both sessions.

FOOTBALL

March 9 & 16 — Football Clinic at Ala Puumalu Community Park (Salt Lake), 8 a.m.- 11 a.m. for ages 12-18. Coaches Neil Rose, Randyn Akiona, Eddie Klaneski and Jacob Yoro and staff will be teaching various skills. Fee: $75 per participant for both sessions

PADDLING

March 2, 9, 16 & 23 — Outrigger Canoe Paddling Clinic at Sand Island Boat Harbor & HCC's Marine Education & Training Center, 8 a.m.-noon. Coach Kalama Heine and staff will hold a classroom and hands-on clinic for ages 9 to 18. Also includes a tour of HCC'S METC. Fee: $160 per participant for all sessions.

TRACK

March 9 & 16 — Track Clinic at Ala Puumalu Community Park (Salt Lake), 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. for ages 10-15. Coach Lauran Dignam and staff will be teaching various skills. Fee: $75 per participant for both sessions.

VOLLEYBALL

March 9 & 16 — Volleyball Clinic at Moanalua High School Gym, 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for ages 8-14. Coach George Ehia and staff will be teaching various skills. Fee: $75 per participant for both sessions.

AMATEUR BOXING CARD AT PALOLO ON MARCH 1

An amateur boxing card, featuring fighters from O'ahu, Maui, the Big Island and Kaua'i, is scheduled for 6 p.m., March 1 at Palolo District Park.

The card is sponsored by USA-Boxing Hawai'i, Palolo B.C. and Kawano B.C.

Admission is $12.
