Haze, but no rain likely during the next few days

Advertiser Staff

The light winds are likely to continue at least through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Daytime sea breezes will produce some afternoon cloudiness but the atmosphere will be too stable to allow much rain, forecasters said.

The air will continue to be hazy since what wind there is will be too light to clear away vog and other pollution.

A front is expected to reach the state early next week bringing showers and north winds that will help clear the air.

Here's how the next few days look at this point:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 81. Southeast wind 9 to 11 mph becoming southwest.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 64. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming northeast.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 75. Southeast wind 8 to 10 mph becoming southwest.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65. East wind around 10 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Southeast wind around 11 mph.

Saturday Night: Isolated showers after midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
