DOH: Restaurant poses no measles threat

There is no ongoing risk of measles from eating at a Chinatown restaurant where a guest with the illness ate on Feb. 9, the state Health Department said.
Measles is not spread through food, so there is no risk at the Golden Palace Seafood Restaurant at 111 N. King St., officials said.
Patrons who attended a party at the restaurant on Feb. 9 may have been exposed to measles from a female guest who attended the party, not knowing she had measles.
The Health Department advises anyone who attended the party and who develops a fever and cough or runny nose between now and Feb. 27 to stay at home and consult with their doctor.
