The Police. What more is there to say?

Anyone who's ever paid any kind of attention — even brief bouts of distracted attention — to the pop music scene knows enough about the three-piece '80s outfit to be well enough informed on the basics (if not the intricacies) of the wildly popular group.

But let's say that you're more than just mildly interested in The Police. You're a fanatic. You own every studio album, live album, EP and compilation record released between 1977 and 2007. You even own that classical throwback record that Sting recorded a couple of years ago. You still get chicken skin when you hear the words, "I resolve to call her up a thousand times a day and ask her if she'll marry me in some old-fashioned way," and you chuckle when Sting gets to the part in "I Can't Stand Losing You" where he says, "I guess it's all true what your girlfriends say, that you don't ever want to see me again, and your brother's going to kill me and he's 6-feet-10."

You love, love, love these guys.

But how well do you know them?

Test yourself with this quiz — or just brush up on your Policeology before the big shows.

The Police, on its first tour since the group disbanded in 1985, plays two sold-out shows at the Blaisdell Arena on Saturday and Sunday.
