Tennis: Henin reaches Diamond Games semifinals

ANTWERP, Belgium — Top-ranked Justine Henin survived a day of upsets by beating Russian qualifier Alisa Kleybanova 6-4, 6-3 to reach the Diamond Games semifinals today.
Henin next faces Swiss qualifier Timea Bacsinszky, who advanced when third-seeded Daniela Hantuchova retired because of a thigh injury while Bacsinszky was leading 6-2, 4-6, 4-1.
Karen Knapp of Italy upset fourth-seeded Patty Schnyder of Switzerland 6-2, 6-7 (1), 7-6 (2).
Later, Li Na of China played Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden.
