MLB: Angels agree to terms with Fuentes

ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Los Angeles Angels have reached a two-year deal with reliever Brian Fuentes, perhaps giving them a replacement for record-setting closer Francisco Rodriguez.
Fuentes is a three-time NL All-Star. He was 1-5 with 30 saves and a 2.73 ERA for Colorado this season. The free agent agreed to terms today on a deal that includes an option for a third year.
The Angels needed a closer after Rodriguez signed with the New York Mets. K-Rod had 62 saves for the AL West champions this year.
