Hoku sets up financing for airport solar projects

Hoku Scientific Inc., the Honolulu-based clean energy technology company, said it has signed an agreement with United Fund Advisors, as part of gaining financing for photovoltaic power systems to be installed and operated at state airports by.
Under the terms of the agreement, Hoku will assigned a purchase power agreement to an investment company that will be created to own each system and sell power to the Hawai'i Department of Transportation over a 20 year period.
Hoku and United Fund Advisors are forming a company, Hoku Solar Power I LLC for the financing arrangement.
