Prosecutors today charged a Wai'anae man with felony abuse of a family member, first-degree reckless endangering, second-degree terroristic threatening, and three firearm-related offenses.
Justin D. Loftis, 31, was arrested last night at 10:25 p.m. fronting 86-129 Puhawai Road by police after he allegedly fired two shots into the ground during a domestic dispute with a woman, 33.
The weapon used was allegedly an unregistered firearm, police said.
Loftis is being held overnight at the main police station cellblock in lieu of $50,000 bail pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.
According to police, Loftis and the woman were arguing at an Alamihi Street residence at 9:50 p.m. The woman told police she was choked by the suspect but was able to break free and drive to a nearby residence. Loftis allegedly followed her and the argument continued before the shots were fired.
