Little rain in the immediate forecast

Advertiser Staff

Not much wind or rain is expected today and for the next couple of days until midweek, forecasters at the National Weather Service say.

A cold front is waiting in the wings that will change the weather Thursday and Friday. In the meantime, expect a few showers from the east-southeast, the weather service says. Light trade winds will fight the daytime sea breezes.

When the cold front arrives, it is expected to bring heavy showers for Kaua'i and O'ahu, spreading toward Maui and the Big Island by Friday. But the weather service said that "plenty of things can change between now and then."
