SANTA ANA, Calif. — Former mixed martial arts light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges after a chase and series of traffic crashes last month.
Jackson entered the not guilty pleas Thursday to felony counts of evading a peace officer and evading a peace officer against traffic and misdemeanor hit-and-run and reckless driving.
The 30-year-old fighter was arrested July 15 after police say he drove his raised pickup truck into other cars then fled the scene.
Jackson lost his Ultimate Fighting Championship title July 5 to Forrest Griffin.
Jackson remains free on $25,000 bond and has another court hearing Sept. 9.
His attorney, Carol Lavacot, did not immediately return a call for comment.
