Surf: South-facing shores should see 2-4 feet today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the south-facing shores of O'ahu is on the way up and should hit 2 to 4 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

The surf along east-facing shores is on the decline and will drop down to 1 to 3 feet, according to the forecast.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 2 feet or less along north- and west-facing shores.

Outlook through Monday, Aug. 18: The rough and choppy surf produced by strong trade winds will diminish along east-facing shores as the trades weaken.

Small background swells will continue along south-facing shores throughout the week.

A small, north northwest swell is due to arrive late Thursday and continue through Saturday.

No other significant swells are expected.
