JAMES MELMUTH BROCK, 64, of Beijing, China, formerly of Maui and O'ahu, died March 28, 2008. Born in Brockton, Mass. A civil engineer, entrepreneur, educator and specialist on energy development in China; vice-president and chief legal representative of the Beijing Representative Office of HEI Power Corp. (China), a Hawaiian Electric Industries company. Survived by wife, Jiang Na; daughter, Cynthia; grandchildren, Connor and Alana Craib; former wife, Mary Soong-Brock; brother, Ralph.
