Ex-Maui resident Frisselle wins second Grand-Am race in row

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — Brian Frisselle and Mark Wilkins raced to their second straight Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series victory Friday, leading 78 of the 82 laps to in the Crown Royal 200 at Watkins Glen International.
Frisselle, a former Maui resident, and Wilkins, driving the No. 61 AIM Autosport Ford Riley, followed their first series victory last week in Montreal with a 1.986-second win over Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty. In Montreal, Wilkins edged Gurney by 0.064 seconds in the closest finish in series history. Wilkins also drove the second shift Friday.
Gurney and Fogarty, driving the No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing Pontiac Riley, moved within 49 points of leaders Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas in the season standings with three races remaining. Pruett and Rojas were 13th in the No. 01 TELMEX Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Lexus Riley, the team's worst finish of the season.
