No. 2 Kamehameha softball team tops MPI, 4-0

Jamie Millwood pitched a two-hitter as host Kamehameha defeated Mid-Pacific, 4-0, yesterday in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu softball game.

Millwood batted 2 for 2 and Nadia Le'i hit a two-run triple for the Warriors (9-1), who are ranked No. 2 in The Advertiser's state Top 10 poll of coaches and media. Shaleese Javillo added a triple and RBI for Kamehameha.

Kimi Okaneru hit a solo homer and Kori Nishitomi batted 3 for 4 with an RBI as the Spartans (6-4) beat the Wolfpack (6-4) at Moili'ili Field. Ariel Silva struck out eight in four scoreless innings of relief and doubled, tripled and drove in two runs for Maryknoll. Shante Tesoro batted 3 for 4 for Pac-Five.

Pitisi Tualau and Ashley Smith combined on a five-hitter as the Troubadours (5-5) beat the Lancers (5-5) at Kamamalu field. Smith, who took the mound in the third inning, also batted 2 for 2. Kayla Sakamoto and Kelcee Santos also had two hits for St. Francis. Tai Vegas had two hits for Sacred Hearts.
