HPU, Hilo split doubleheader

Andrew Sramek had three hits and four RBIs as Hawai'i Pacific beat Hawai'i-Hilo, 14-2, yesterday to earn a split of a baseball doubleheader at Hans L'Orange Park.
Danny Lee added three hits and Michael Kealoha contributed three RBIs for the Sea Warriors (26-14-1). Dayne Ogawa hit an RBI single for the Vulcans (14-18).
In the opener, Keoni Manago hit a three-run double in the top of the eighth as Hilo won, 6-4.
Hilo's Clayton Uyechi struck out eight in seven innings. Makana Kitamura had two hits and two RBIs for HPU.
MAUI WINS AJA TITLE
Maui, led by the tournament's most outstanding player Joey Tam Ho, defeated O'ahu, 9-8, in 13 innings yesterday to win the 73rd AJA Baseball Association Tournament in Wailuku, Maui.
Hawai'i beat Kaua'i 6-5, for the consolation title.
SAILING
UH FINISHES SECOND
The University of Hawai'i coed sailing team placed second at the St. Francis Intersectional this past weekend in San Francisco.
Stanford scored a low-best 111 points to win the two-day regatta that drew a total of 31 coed and women's teams. The 'Bows, led by a second-place finish in B division by skippers Andrew Meade and Will Petersen, and crew Pam Magasinn, scored 140.
The UH women finished fourth among 10 crews with 305.
GOLF
MANOA OUTSHOOTS HILO
Hawai'i-Manoa defeated Hawai'i-Hilo, 381 to 391, Saturday in the Hokulia Golf Challenge on the Big Island.
Manoa's Travis Toyama and Hilo's Logan Goulding led their teams with 1-under-par 71s.
