More flights announced for stranded Mainland passengers

To help stranded travelers get home after the sudden shutdown of ATA and Aloha airlines, the Hawai'i Tourism Authority is continuing to help charter flights and has announced nine additional trips, the latest ones by United Airlines target Maui-San Francisco travel.
The Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau is updating its Web site with the latest information to help travelers affected by the sudden closure of ATA and Aloha airlines last week.
Information on flights and hotel accommodations for ATA and Aloha Airlines' passengers is at www.gohawaii.com/ata.
The newest flights are on United Airlines and on charters through Primaris Air, out of Oakland, Calif., with the help of Panda Travel. Earlier flights were added by Hawaiian Airlines, including one that left yesterday and another on Wednesday.
Passengers will need to show an ATA or Aloha Airlines ticket, record locater number and ticket number upon check-in at Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter.
The new flights on United Airlines are:
• Wednesday, April 9: Flight No. 9790 departs San Francisco at 8 a.m. for arrival in Kahului, Maui.
• Wednesday, April 9: Flight No. 9791 departs Kahului, Maui at 11:15 a.m. for arrival in Honolulu at 11:51 a.m.; departs Honolulu at 1:00 p.m. for arrival in San Francisco. Contact United Airlines at 800-241-6522 to book these flights.
The new charters are:
• Tuesday, April 8: Kokua Flight No. 7515 departs Honolulu at 3:30 p.m. for arrival in Los Angeles;
• Wednesday, April 9: Kokua Flight No. 7516 departs Los Angeles at 11 a.m. for arrival in Honolulu;
• Wednesday, April 9: Kokua Flight No. 7517 departs Honolulu at 3:30 p.m. for arrival in Los Angeles.
One-way tickets on these flights will cost $300 for coach and $400 for business class.

• By calling Panda Travel at 808-734-1961, then dial 0. From 6 to 11 p.m., call another number, 808-349-6150. At 8:30 a.m. Panda Travel staff will be at Hawaiian Air ticket counter at the airport.
