Mesa sues Delta over contract dispute

PHOENIX — Mesa Air Group Inc., parent of go!, says it has filed a federal lawsuit against Delta Air Lines Inc. to keep its contract-flying agreement intact.
Mesa General Counsel Brian Gillman says the lawsuit was filed Monday in response to Delta's announcement last week that it plans to end the contract.
Delta has noted that Mesa's performance was lacking. The Atlanta-based carrier has said it had a problem with the number of flights Mesa completed.
But Gillman says that there's nothing wrong with the regional carrier's performance.
Instead, Mesa contends that Delta is trying to end the contract in an effort to cut flights and boost profits.
