"Menopause The Musical," opening a two-week run April 8 at the Hawaii Theatre, has extended its $5 discount on seats for the April 9, 10 and 11 performances.

Crowds flocked the box office Monday, hoping to take advantage of the discount that was to end that day; however, the box office normally is closed on Mondays. So Burton White, general manager of Hawaii Theatre, contacted show presenter New Space Entertainment, to extend the discount buying period through tomorrow.

The touring musical has performances at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, at 8 p.m. Fridays, at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays and at 2 and 7 p.m. Sundays, through April 20.

The opening night gala is a benefit for the Women's Cancer Center at Kapiolani Medical Center; all seats are $30.

Prices are $35 and $45 for shows on Friday and Saturday evenings and Saturday and Sunday matinees; weeknight shows are $30 and $40.
