Kamehameha places fourth in California

The Kamehameha girls cross country team finished fourth in its division at Saturday's Dana Hills Invitational in Dana Point, Calif.
The Warriors finished with 149 points in the Division II junior/senior division, which featured teams from the state's second biggest division.
Dara Pagaduan was the first Kamehameha finisher on the 3-mile course, finishing 14th in 19 minutes, 14.0 seconds. Teammate Kelly Opedal was 25th in 19:21.6, followed by Emma Broderick (27th, 19:36.7), Alana Meditz (32nd, 19:42.7) and Nonoi Maielua (51st, 20:11.0).
Other Kamehameha runners were Courtney Honda (54th, 20:13.3), Cheyane Kamai (56th, 20:14.8), Aja-Lee Rosehill (80th, 20:49.2), Kristen Kauhane (87th, 20:55.7), Noelani Mikami (122nd, 21:43.8), Jill Nishikawa (123rd, 21:44.5), Nue Apiki (127th, 21:51.7), Hailey Kauhane (128th, 21:52.2) and Kerilynn Gallagher (135th, 21:57.2).
Capistrano Valley (Calif.) won the race with 74 points. Elizabeth Apgar of Abraham Lincoln (Calif.) topped a 256-runner field in 17:31.0.
Dana Hills will be competing in Saturday's Kaiser Invitational at Patsy T. Mink Central O'ahu Regional Park.
