  • The Honolulu Design Center will present the Second Annual Home Entertainment and Tech Expo, noon-6 p.m. today and Saturday at the center's Cupola special events theater on Kapi'olani Boulevard. The event is geared toward Hawai'i's consumer market and small businesses, and will feature the latest technologies in home entertainment, as well as free seminars on home entertainment, video games, Internet connectivity, wireless communications, digital television and more.   • The Hawaii Science & Technology Council will present the second part of its panel discussion on Disaster Management: Opportunities for Hawai'i's Future, 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Pacific Club. Panelists include, Robert Z. Lietzke of Booz Allen Hamilton, Walter Eccles of Commercial Data Systems and Linda Jameson of Loea Corp. The panelists will address how to keep your business running during a natural disaster, such as last year's Big Island earthquake and ensuing blackout.     Dr. S. Kalani Brady will be honored Saturday as the HAWAI'I MEDICAL ASSOCIATION'S Physician of the Year, at HMA's sixth annual Ola Pono 'Ike Medical Ball and Silent Auction. The event is the organization's annual benefit, awards and inauguration dinner. It is at 5:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and is expected to draw a "who's who" of local physician, healthcare and business leaders. Dr. Ronald Davis will be the keynote speaker. Other honorees will be Dr. Cynthia J. Goto, new HMA president, and Dr. Myron E. Shirasu, recipient of the HMA President's Award. There also will be a silent and live auction. Fee; public welcome.
