Kaua'i residents who receive sewer service from the county can apply for the 2008 Sewer Credit Program. Qualified applicants will receive a $20 credit that will be applied to their sewer bill each month, amounting to a savings of $240 for the year.

Those who currently receive a county sewer credit must re-apply to be eligible next year. The deadline to apply for the 2008 Sewer Credit Program is Dec. 31.

To qualify, the applicant's total adjusted gross income must be below $40,000 for 2006. Other criteria also apply.

Applications have been mailed out, but can also be downloaded from the county's Web site at www.kauai.gov.
