  • Linebacker Kawika Mitchell of the New York Giants, who was born in Honolulu, had three solo tackles and one assist.

  • Defensive tackle Isa'ako Sopoaga of San Francisco, a University of Hawai'i alum, assisted on one tackle.

  • Wide receiver Ashley Lelie of San Francisco, a Radford High and UH alum, made two catches for 52 yards, including a long of 47.

  • Linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa of St. Louis, a UH alum, had two solo tackles and one assist.

  • Kicker Jason Elam of Denver, a UH alum, booted a game-winning 49-yard field goal and four PATs.

  • Houston quarterback Matt Schaub left in the first half of a 38-36 loss to Tennessee with left ankle and right hip injuries. ... Atlanta lost new starting quarterback Byron Leftwich to an injured right ankle and rookie left tackle Renardo Foster to a left knee injury during a 22-16 loss to New Orleans. ... Miami lost running back Ronnie Brown to a right knee injury in the third quarter of a 49-28 loss to New England. The Dolphins also lost safeties Renaldo Hill (knee) and Courtney Bryan (thigh). ... The Ravens were forced to start six backups on offense, including three rookie linemen and quarterback Kyle Boller.

    PASSING STARS

  • Tom Brady, Patriots, was 21-of-25 for 354 yards and a team-record six touchdowns in a 49-28 victory over the Dolphins. He has 27 TD passes through seven games, and is on pace to break Peyton Manning's NFL record of 49 set in 2004.

  • Kerry Collins, Titans, filled in for injured Vince Young by throwing for 280 yards and driving Tennessee downfield in the final minute to set up Rob Bironas' deciding field goal in a 38-36 win over Houston. Sage Rosenfels, Texans, tied an NFL record with four TD passes in the fourth quarter.

    RUSHING STARS

  • Kenny Watson, Bengals, filled in for Rudi Johnson and carried 31 times for 130 yards and three touchdowns, two in the fourth quarter of a 38-31 comeback win over the Jets.

  • Larry Johnson, Chiefs, rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown and caught six passes for 21 yards in a 12-10 win over Oakland.

  • Brandon Jacobs, Giants, gained 107 yards on 18 carries, and his 5-yard touchdown run in the second quarter began a stretch of 20 consecutive points in a 33-15 win over the 49ers.

    RECEIVING STARS

  • Wes Welker, Patriots, caught nine passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-28 win over Miami. He has 20 catches for 262 yards and four TDs over the past two weeks.

  • Laveranues Coles, Jets, caught eight passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-31 loss to the Bengals.

    DEFENSIVE STARS

  • London Fletcher, Redskins, made 13 tackles and returned an interception 27 yards for a second-quarter touchdown in a 21-19 victory over Arizona.

  • Darryl Tapp, Seahawks, had four sacks in a 24-14 win over St. Louis.
