Gov. Linda Lingle has released $777,000 for improvements at Waimea High School on Kaua'i to meet accessibility guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act. These corrective measures include adding walkways, ramps, parking stalls, elevators and other modifications.

"This project will ensure that Waimea High School is fully accessible to all students and staff, as well as parents and community members who visit the campus," Lingle said in a news release.

Design is scheduled to begin in February and be completed in October 2008. Construction is expected to begin in April 2009 and be completed in December 2009.
