KAPALUA RESORT
Kapalua Resort has announced the appointment of Justin Work as director for the tennis program at the Kapalua Tennis Garden. Work will be responsible for program design and implementation, teaching, organizing tennis-related activities and events as well as overseeing maintenance of the facilities that include a 10-court facility and fully stocked pro shop. The tennis program features a variety of regularly scheduled programs during the week, private and group instruction and three USTA sanctioned tournaments each year.
HAWAI'I PACIFIC UNIVERSITY
Dr. Chris Winn has been promoted to associate dean of marine science programs within Hawai'i Pacific University's College of Natural Science. In his new position, Winn will support HPU Vice President for Research Dr. Alissa Arp with fundraising activities and the development of HPU's marine campus, Oceanic Institute. Together, they will develop the administrative infrastructure to support graduate and undergraduate education and research at Oceanic Institute.
Dr. Martha Sykes has been promoted to assistant vice president for research and grants administration at HPU. She will promote HPU's mission of increasing the number of faculty members and administrators receiving external funding.
SUMMA HAWAII
Summa Hawaii has announced that Cindy Chinen is a new accounts administrator with the hotel and resort procurement company. She has extensive experience in accounting and administration. Also, Maria Siu is Summa Hawaii's new procurement specialist/operations director.
